Casa Shalom

GOAL: $50,000
RAISED: $22,128.54
All money raised from this printable guide will go directly to Casa Shalom Orphanage in Guatemala. Our current goal is to raise $50,000 to install solar on their property.
Boys and girls come to Casa Shalom after being orphaned, abandoned, abused or severely neglected by their families. Many have been forced to work instead of attending school.
Casa Shalom provides a place where children can grow in a nurturing, peaceful environment. They provide the children with 3 healthy meals a day, quality health care, clothing and a clean and safe environment where the children can thrive. they also seek to meet the educational needs of the children, and provide opportunities for them to attend school from preschool through high school, with university education as an option for young people who graduate from high school.

Installing solar on the Casa Shalom property would reduce their costs by $1,000 every month. In turn, they'd use that money to help more kids and hire more counselors. Our hope is to cover the cost of the solar installation so that their budget can be reduced immediately.
